Real Bones for crafts

Hey there everyone, I am now going bck to traditional bones for chokers, no longer using cow bones from Pakistan, but instead I am using rib bones from bear or wolf. Wing bones from hawks or owls. So far with road kills that I have found or have been delivered to me I managed to make a few this year. At the Golden Lake Powwow in Ontario Canada I had these items on my table and they soon found new homes.

I am just curious, are there any other folks out there doing this or am I the exception in this path of thinking???

I try to use all the bones that come my way.

A man's choker!!

My bear choker this year has 4 rows of ribs across the top, with two rows of 7 suspended below, the glass beads are red, white hearts, the metal beads are sterling silver. Below this are suspended two of the eye teeth from the same bear, along with two of his claws.

A woman's choker!!!!
This delicate choker also has 4 rows of bone beads, the bones are slightly brown in colour, left natural. They are the wing bones of a feamale red tailed hawk. the glass beads in this one are brown clear glass, and the spacers are, again sterling. Suspended on the bottom is a disc of abelone with a small pewter bear in the opening.

anyone interested get get to me with a message and I would be proud to send a picture of these chokers to them,, oh they are big files, lots of detail.
