Looking for Cedar Box and TsaLaGhi Style Men's Rattle.

Osiyo!

Does anybody know where to get a good cedar box to store feathers, etc, in? Crazy Crow is out of stock indefinetly and the trader I called said it would be at least 8 weeks for ordering and delivery.

Also, do any Ani Tsalaghi know what rattles we Men use to sing with? I have been powwow singing for over 10 years now, but am just beginning to learn how to sing in our language/tradition-does anyone have any advice on what to use or where to get reliable information on our singing traditions?

If you want to know what kind the Cherokee used you should check out a book I just got called
" Cherokee dance and Drama" It has stuff on singing, dancing, some pages on rattles and drumms etc. I could tell you that thier was a gourd rattle with a rattlesanake tail on the end, But a Delaware elder advised me not to make one that way.

gourds, tin salt and pepper shakers, horn.... I think the cherokee rattles used for social dancing were pretty much the same as the six nations rattles were'nt they? If so, you can get horn or can rattle from Crazy crow and I think you can get supplies from Iroqrafts.com
