Tourist Crafts
I've always been fascinated by the tourist crafts because most of the time they are just cute but totally useless LOL!! I'm also one of those people that when I go somewhere I got to get a souvenier of sorts and sometimes I just love the cheap and tacky for the simple reason being.. it was created ROFLMAO!!
Iroquois whimseys were made to sell to tourists back in the 1800's till today... Also were birch bark baskets and birch bark canoes and corn husk dolls and jitterbugs.. Did you tribe make anything for tourists way back when, and do they still today and what are the kinds of crafts still done for tourist sales?
