For the record I voted for Tupac. Cause he is a truly great artist. And he lived an amazing life. I feel his music more than anybody else's music. :D

and
BIG PUN (RIP)
are two of the most viscious lyricists....

I still gotta give it up for Ladies Love Cool James (LL Cool J).

Also gotta say something for Chuck D (Public Enemy). The most concious, well thought out lrycist ever, no one comes close. His stances on racial issues were radical back then, but commonplace now.

I have to roll with Nasir Jones. Unlike Pac, Nas is unafraid to put his poetry on wax. Most of Tupac's best lyrics/poems, were never even recorded. He had an image to protect where Nas can careless. Much of that comes from losing his mother. Nas is out to tell it all.

No doubt about it...TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR.He said what he felt, came at it hard when someone was dissin him and he not only rapped,he was a poet,and actor.

I Agree ..stongly..NAS is great...

But I would say Mos Def, Inspectrah Deck and the whose Wu family, talib Kweil and the whole Jurassic 5 family!
