Talking Best Beadworker

I want to know who you all think makes ome of the best beadwork out there for fancy shawl.
Myself, I say: Brenda Silva
Joanna Thompson
Brenda did, Bonnie Tomahsah's yellow eagle one, Tooters yellow eagle one
Joanna did Verna Hedgpath's yellow one and Chepa's face one.( which I haven't seen but heard alot about)

Who else?

Brenda is the best, but Joanne's work is top notch as is Dorothy Gray's. My hubbie does great beadwork, too. :)

I think Joanne Thomas, without a doubt, is the absolute best! She did my beadwork- actually beaded me fancydancing on my cape. Being a beadworker myself, I don't trust just anyone and Joanne did an AWESOME job. All of her work is so detailed and intricate. THANKS JOANNE!

Personally, I admire FancyFingers beadwork, not to mention Joanne Thomas's. I've been beading for 16 plus years and wish I could go at it like they do!!!!!!

I would have to agree with Niimii about Cepa Two Eagles. She really does some nice outfits. And she can also bead pretty fast.

MY FAIRY GOD MOTHER, ANJANNETTE REDHORSE!:)

She made my jingle dress, and is making the fully beaded crown, hairties, and the belt, as well as the choker! My jingle dress is the red one, with the gold cones in the gallery:Chatter

Thumbs up

I'd have to say Anne Small. She did some beadwork for all the Topsky girl's(Elizabeth, Whitney, Rachel, Anika). :Thumbs Her work is good. She'll do just about any design you want.

Give me a few days and I'll try to post some pictures of Brenda's work. I haVE to say I'm a little nervous becuase I know there are people who might copy these custome designs and then someone would have to get hurt:)
There is this one fancy shawl dancer who makes really nice stuff too. Her last name is Baker I think!! She does Fancy Shawl1 I really like her stuff!!!

Hey, any photos that are posted will be done so with the understanding....if any of us see ANY of the designs copied ANYWHERE we will kick some copycatting-design-stealing-not-a-cool-thing-to- do butt!;)

Yeppers Brenda is the best. She has done two of the four I have. I don't know about putting my outfit on here. I would hope no one on here would copy but you can't speak for those who don't come here all the time and respect how we do. You know? I would love to show you my stuff but that makes me kinda skiddish.

Oh yes, Joanne does some awesome stuff. My brother ERnest Grant does some awesome stuff.

Jolene Redman does good work.
Kim Botchenbaugh
Carmen Martineau and her sisters
Shelly Bointy (yes she does her stuff now)
Patty THomas (she did shelly's purple stuff)
Orian Baker Blackthunder
Paul McDaniels
Sandra Patty (All those eagles that look alike on different peoples stuff)
Leslie Barichello (NO MISTAKES, VERY METICULOUS)
Brenda Silva

I agree Tooter. I've thought about putting pics of my beadwork on here, but I'm always afraid someone who's not from around here would steal my stuff figuring she'll never see me!

Just like that girl I saw at Hermitage pow wow years ago who copied RAmona ROaches "Old MAn" outift right down to everything except she had an eagle where the old man was.

I'm not trying to say mine is the most but man it is sharp (ALL THANKS TO BRENDA) but I would hate to just have to pound some idiot. There are not a lot of people out there that think like us and of course we wouldn't even dare copy one another but it does happen.

FANCYSTAR!?!?!?!? If you got pics of me don't put em on here unless you let me see em, K? What pics do you have of Brenda's beadwork anywayz?

I would like for all of us to share what we look like in our outfits but man that whole copying thing has me buggin.

Mariann High Eagle. Does all of Lisa Ewalk's. And several others too. Shelly does really nice stuff, her colors are outstanding. They catch your eye from afar. Cepa Two Eagles is pretty. Robert Tiger did some of Crystal's, and his stuff is very precise.

I would have to say that some of the people that I think do the best beadwork are:

Paul Larose
Cepa Two Eagle
Denise One Star
John Wells & Bonnie White
Buca Blue Thunder
Terry Larvie
Emil Her Many Horses (does Gracie's stuff)
Dorothy Little Elk
Robert Tiger
Jodi Gillette
Kidd Littlesky (did his wife's top)
Shane Hughes (does her own stuff)
Martineau sisters
Art Redman (does some of his children's stuff...AJ, Andrea)
Roy Bison (did Lisa's tee pee outfit)
Ruby MacArthur

That's all I can think of now. These guys are mostly northern and plains beaders. Not all of them though.

Yeah, same Marianne. Ruby MacArthur is also a very excellent beadworker. Linda Standing does nice work, too.
