GON Winners

That was a good contest, but my Bonnie Tomahsah should have been in the winner's line. She did really well, had new outfits on, was quick and just overall danced her style.
I admit I have been out of the loop due to not traveling, but there were a few winners I did not know. I must be getting old. Gina and Gunya were awesome too. It was just an odd set of winners this year at GON, different dancers dancing I guess. But, Bonnie, you were off the hook and I, for one, think you danced good enough to place.

You were prob mezmerized on her, to judge clearly ya gotta watch'em all *laughs* Irene Oakes always rocks hard, good winners I say, it's all up to the handpicked judges.

I thought the winners were right on, with the exception of 5th place. She reminded me of a light Crystal Cleveland imposter (a "Crystal Light" if you will).

I must say, however, all of the winners (including 5th) were fast on their feet and obviously in shape and dancing very well.

As for Bonine Tomahsah, she has danced a lot better in the past and I know her dancing will pick up again, but she shouldn't expect to leave the scene and come right back on top at her first appearance.

My only change would have been 5th place.

Congrats to Irene Oaks! She is second to none!

I agree with 49to69. All of the winners were very fast and fancy without any slowness whatsoever. Bonnie Tomasa looked a little tired in her dancing. Irene Oaks was awesome on that Battle River contest song. Fast and Fancy is what it's all about. Congrats to the winners.

I agree with 49to69 and Rez_Kitty also. Congratulations to the winners. I think the winners were good this year because they were all in shape. The fifth place winner is in very good shape. I read where she won a Ironman Fancy Shawl Special the week after GON. I've seen Bonnie dance better also. She looked kinda rusty to me. I don't think she's been dancing as much as she used to. I'll bet she's really excited to be able to dance in the 35 and over Women's Fancy Shawl this summer. She turned 35 in March. Can't wait to watch her this summer!

The only one I thought should have gotten in at GON who didn't place is Tanksi Clairmont because she is in good shape too.

I'm glad to see some new names get in there myself. Everyyear it seesm like the same names just in a different order. Even though Bonnie didn't win, I can tell from the photos she is still keeping it keen busting out new outfits left and right!

Lisa is working, she is coming down for Red Earth, Shelly was still expecting her baby then, though she was there. and I don't know about Grace.
As for Bonnie, she is one of my favorites, though Irene flat put out the moves and was totally, totally in shape. Nahmee looked smooth in the black and yellow. There were several good dancers at the GON this year. Bonnie is just my one of my favorites, personal opinion. LOL

Okay, well, everyone is entitled to their own opion. So here's mine...The judges made their decision. That's that. And for the Crystal Light thing...Thats really funny. Really, it is. Infact, I take it as a compliment, however, I don't know why someone would say that about me. But like I said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I agree with Fancy Star...all the way.
