When, How, Why did you decide to Fancy Dance, and when did you start????

My son wants to be a Fancy Dancer, and I was wondering how others got started.

i was at a boy scout outing, saw one of the older guys dancing, and asked him to teach me...that was n '94, i've been fancy dancing ever since
