Smile Fancy Dancing in Seattle

My boyfriend's nephews would like to learn fancy dancing. They are Coharie raised in Cherokee County, NC. Do you know where I can get information on instruction in the Seattle area? We have Tulalip, Muckleshoot, etc but my boyfriend wants them to learn their specifc dancing.

Send me an email if you have info for me!

hmm

i moved from seattle a few years ago.. and what i would suggest is going to powwow, watching a practicing...

im not sure how this dancing would differ from the cherokee NC styles... but its a start for being up there...

look on powwowtime for more local powwows in that area...

GoN videos

Attending and watching fancy dancers is the best way to learn, but that may not always be possible. The Gathering of Nations organization has more pow wow videos (on DVD, n o less) than you can shake a whip stick at. These include plenty of fancy dancing. You can check them out here: http://www.gatheringofnations.com/Me...y_Code=GONDVDS
