I don't know, but my money would be on George Alexander also. Please tell us the results.

This years "ORIGINAL" WORLD CHAMPION FANCY DANCER IS-------BILLY MCCLELLAN! Counting this year, this is Billys' 6th "ORIGINAL" WORLD TITLE. For those of you in the know, Billy was the no. 1 fancy dancer in OK, during the eighties. It was good to see him back to compete as he looked in top form during his dance solo. 2nd place went to PONCHO BRADY. Poncho abandoned his usual fancy northern style he is known for, and showed his versatility as a champion dancer by doing some "old school" moves for his solo. Poncho competed a couple of years ago at PoncaPowwow, but didn't make the finals. Most people said it was because he was too wild. Just a tip for future dancers. 3rd Place went to PETE MOORE JR. Trying to "REPEAT" (no pun intended) from last year, Pete did a good solo, but looked a little slow towards the end of the song. 4th place went to GEORGE ALEXANDER. Georges' solo looked good, but I think the judges took off points cause he didn't have a solid stop. He stopped on time, but he lost his balance. The last solo finalist was RANDY MOORE. Randy did very well, however at the end of his solo, he gestured "shooting guns",blowing the smoke off of them, and putting them in their holsters. You probably could get away with this at any other powwow, but I think this was a bad idea. Other finalists who made it were MICHAEL ROBERTS, MIKE PASETOPAH, HENRY MCCLELLAN, THORPE SINE, MIKE HUDSON. :D :D :D

Thumbs up

Moves, thanks for posting the winners of the real "World Championship of Fancy Dance." Schemitzun and Gathering can claim it all they want, but it'll always be in Poncaland. Good to see Poncho doing so well there. All of those dancers who made the finals are champions...bet it was a great finale.

P.S. Who's won it the most? Is is true that Woogie Watchetaker won it over 10 times? That's incredible!!

Lightbulb Old-Stylin'

Who are all the old-stylin' fancy dancers still out there? There are few I see nowadays. I went to Spotlight pw and I think that lydell yazzie has some awesome moves. His sister is putting up a mens' old style special next year honoring their father. So, come support these kids. :Chatter
