Well as we should already know, FOX NEWS is Racist and well they actually promote it.

I thought the whole "Dressing up as a Pilgrim and letting the Indians SODOMIZE ME" remark was completely out of line and racist and hateful and cruel and and just friggn WOW.

They showed their true bigoted side when that blonde woman started saying that Michael something or other was just looking for an excuse to like take their precious turkey and wine away and their 4 days off.

I can't even express right now the irrational rage that put me in. I was out for blood in my mind. I know that violence is not the answer here. But it touched something deep inside of me that I keep hidden away for a dang goot reason.

But this is not about me. This is about what those racists said on National Television. I'm sure that many non-Indian got one hell of a laugh out of that cruel racist satyr. What they said is so completely out of line and hateful. It just goes to show that there are still those out there who propagate racism and spread hate and discontent.

I mean what, did they actually think that we still live in the in the stone age and not watch National TV? Hell FOX is available almost everywhere on basic cable.

I don't think I'm overreacting to this one bit either.


That's all I have to say right at this moment bout this one folks. I have to go to Quick-Trip and buy some smokes.

it seems to me that there are more pressing issues in Indian Country then getting my panties all tied up over a few idiots on tv. does the phrase, "freedom of speech" ring a bell for anyone on here? or are we to be of the mentality that freedom of speech only pertains to what we approve of? if you do not like it then do not watch it, you do not like it do not read it, do not listen to it, do not promote it.
to say that you cannot believe that something like this would be aired, that this still exsists is in the least and the nicest silly.

How can the "more pressing" problems in Indian Country be taken seriously if we as a people are not?

I guess the thing that bothered me most is the double standard that exists here. If this so-called satire had been directed at the black population, the shizz would have hit the fan with the public backlash, that the Dog the Bounty Hunter and "N-word" situation did. But because it's Indians, it's okay? We just laugh it off? I guess you can if that's your choice, but while this is not causing me to lose sleep, it did make my BP rise a bit.

It certainly has made me switch channels. Where I would typically choose Fox News over CNN, I don't anymore.

EXACTLY! And it's not like anyone else of any other race would'nt have something to say if it were them. Just because they are within their rights does'nt make it right for them to villianize our people as a whole because some folks chose to protest the holiday. Nor do their comments hold any factual base to them and I don't support public ignorance.

I don't believe it was satire. I believe it was someone thinking that the whole idea of protesting Thanksgiving is moronic and looked to strike back at an entire race of people to make them look stupid. And it IS a double standard becuase no one else would put up with this, but becaus there are'nt enough speaking up, it goes on. They feel we don't have the guts or resources to change it so it continues. More class action suits against the media would change their opinions... hit em with what hurts them. Talk to them in the only language they understand, their own court systems on defamation and racial bigotry.

Hello My Sisters & Brothers,
I understand that thier are some who would take it as humor.
But for me it is the worst form of disrespect.

1. How many people watch his show? Thousands maybe millions.
2. So a lot of people saw them do this.
3. So they have (At least) influenced a few people to hold no respect for our people on national T.V.
4. If we do nothing about it (Like they did with the DOG) as some have mentioned. Then the rest that have no opinion about it may loose respect for our people as well in thinking, hmmm, the Native Indians don't seem to care so why should we.
5. Humor is fine...Complete disrespect is uncalled for.
5. This has been going on for years. If we allow it to continue. Our people will loose a lot more than they are loosing now. I guarantee it.
6. I think 200+ years of insults, disrespect, murder, life taking (Peltier), stealing and control of our people is a bit to much. So this broadcast kinda PISSED ME OFF!
7. It is time that we stand together and make people have respect for us. You can't get away with calling other nations bad names and insulting them without a bad report about you, so why should they get away with doing it to us.
8. A (Proclaiming Apache Indian Woman) sat back and went along with the whole thing and said nothing to defend her people condoning what they did, so we let it go, we will loose major respect for that, i guarantee it.

This is the way I feel about it and I hope it has help open the eyes of those who think this was some sort of humor skit, not a total disrespectful act. And to do it on NATIONAL T.V. is a National form of DISRESPECT and I think it would need a FORMAL, NATIONAL apology.
