Most under rated actor/actress..
Who do you think is the most under rated actor or actress out there? Who has been awesome in movies yet is overlooked at awards shows and by critics? Can be native or non.
My first choice is Leonardo Dicaprio - this guy delivers in each role he takes yet hasn't picked up any hardware for it - the aviator, departed, blood diamond - what's eating gilbert grape was brilliant! |

I had thought that Phillip Seymour Hoffman was pretty good in all his bit roles in the past, by now he has props.
I agree, Leonardo Dicaprio has been shown no love for the good work he has done. Twice now had the lead actor role for two movies that won movie of the year.

I'd have to say Matt Damon - although I guess he won a writing award for "Good Will Hunting." He was downright scary in the title role in "The Talented Mr. Ripley." If they were giving awards for best athletic performance in a starring role, I'd give that to Jackie Chan. I've seen almost all of his movies and the fight scenes really blow me away. For TV acting, if you've ever seen the Showtime series "Dexter," well I think that Michael C. Hall plays one of the best anti-hero roles ever written. On the native side, I'd vote for Adam Beach - he was the best part of "Windtalkers."
Just IMHO, LOL ![]() |

I agree with Adam Beach being under rated - he is extremely talented! Wes Studi too!
I am not familiar with Phillip Seymour Hoffman - haven't seen too much of his work. Will Farrell is totally without shame - he rocks! |

I will say Mark Wahlberg is kind of under rated. I agree about Leonardo, too. We watched Departed last week and he was really, really good in it.
