BOO on Bizness of Fancy Dancin', more over-dramatics and exaggerations and what not of rez natives.

Whale Rider's kewl, makes my ol' lady cry, though; Emerald Forest was cool, finally found it on DVD after all these years.

Gonna hafta go see Pathfinder tonight. Nothin' like a white person left with the Natives, then raised by the Natives, then saves the Natives.

(Geez, these people always trynna justify their foothold on the North American Continent and their whole reason for living here...do you remember that report about them finding arrowheads or somethin' that resemble that of a culture from Europe over 25,000 years ago...geezus krise! That's another thread.)

Whale Rider's about a girl that rides a whale....umm...and other stuff.

It's a New Zealand flick. Some of the same folks that were in Once Were Warriors were in Whale Rider.

Anyways, didn't getta see Pathfinder. From what I've heard, might wanta wait until it's on DVD.

"Sioux City" with Lou Diamond Phillips
"Redskin" with Richard Dix
"Red Blood" was ok for a low-budget B-movie thriller
"Spirit Rider"
"The Doe Boy"
"Windrunner" - surprisingly good

Imprint (I think Chris Eyre directed that one. Awesome suspense!)
Turquoise Rose (it was ok, the line delivery could've been better but it's good)
Milepost 398 (Sad, but very well done)

The vision scene from Thunderheart was one of my favorites:

Quote:
Walter Crow Horse: You had yourself a vision. A man waits a long time to have a vision, and he may go his whole life without having one. Then along comes some instant indian with a ****ing Rolex and a brand new pair of shoes. A God damn FBI to top it all off, has himself a vision.
I almost choked on my popcorn!

I saw it at a film festival at the Heard museum. I don't know if it's been widely released yet. Hope you get to see it soon!
