Nascar wouldn't have me.... tho I'd won every race.

Driving my life at full throttle...
in a race to the bottom of the bottle.
I don't remember the night...
my truck took flight.
But I ended up in the ditch,
with Jack and Bud & some crazy sonab!tch......
The race was near over, when right at the end
that's when I met a truly good friend.
Willing to get dirty and wade thru the sh!t
willing to stand by me...help me to quit.
The morning's aren't cloudy and I no longer fear,
no longer fear that face in the mirror.
No longer full throttle, a much slower pace...
but finally a winner, no longer a race.
