Hello,
I need to buy some seed beeds, some in 12 cut, and would like to find the best deal as I need quite a lot, in different colors. My sister and I are the appointed, albeit self appointed, beaders in the family and need to get some more work done this winter. Which suppliers have the most reasonable prices and quality beads? Thanks, Erica |

Hey,
There's a company I just got a catalog from called Thunderbird Supply Company out in NM. Their website is www.tbscorp.com and from what I can see their beads are fairly reasonable. They also sell rough blocks of stones, cabs, fetishes, pendants, and other stuffs. Treena |

My favorite supplier, and also the one with the biggest selection of seed beads of the best quality I've found is Baker Bay Beads. They have an online catalog and you can request a paper one. They give a substantial discount to mail order customers and carry just about everything you could want in the line of other stuff, too. I'm lucky that the store is near me, so I get to go there in person, but I heartily recommend this place. He carries old colors, and will try to find you any beads you're having trouble finding. He also carries antique and reproduction trade beads, deer toes, quills--more than I can list here. Here's the url
http://www.bakerbay.com Another really good supplier for claws, furs, etc. is Moscow Hide and Fur. Very economical, great to deal with, and quick to ship your order. They have a huge inventory of furs and stuff. Check it out. http://www.hideandfur.com |

For large quantities, I like Shipwreck Beads. They have good prices at the kilo level. Prices vary according to color so it isn't a flat price for all 12/o opaques for example. You can order online.
Check out www.ship-wreck.com. They also have a paper catalog. |

Shipwreck beads have a graet colored catalog but recently I tried to order some purple beads and they were totaly out in the size 8, 9 cuts. If it was really any shade of purples, pinks, and some blues they were out and didn't know when they would have more.
A really good one with good prices is flying feathers/beads 4 u. They have an 800 number or an add in almost any ndn paper. Good Luck!! |

Shipwreck has a good selection of beads and their prices are the best I have found if you want to buy large quantities, i.e. kilos. However, one of the best sources with good prices for smaller quantities is www.beadsource.com . They will run about $1.50 per hank for 10 hanks or more. Check’em both out!

Hey, Spiritwoman, I was at the Siletz pow wow myself last August! Is that where you mean you saw Baker Bay? They're great to deal with. If you ever get down this way, you should visit their store. They're closed Sundays in winter, but otherwise are open 9 to 5 and if it's a special situation (like where you'd be coming from Portland) if you call them and let them know you're coming, they'll open up for you to shop. The store is connected to their home. The other day when I was up there, there was a lady shopping who had driven down from Portland. They have a lot more in the store than they can carry around to pow wows, so if you get down this way, you should really try to go there. Bud and his wife and staff are real friendly, nice people.
