seedbead fringe

I would like to add fringe to a rosette that I am going to make but not sure how to do it.

Can anybody give me instructions on how to make the fringe or point me to a site with free info. I looked on the web I found books for sale and beaded fringe for sale but I would like to make my own

ok these are'nt how to do it on a rosette.. but basically you can follow this for doing the fringe itself and you can either go through the bottom of your backing leather to add the fringe or through your edge beading (although doing this is a bit trickier).

thanks for your help. I did add the fringe right to the rosette but I noticed the fringe don't lay flat. did I pull it to tight to the rosette?? well it is my very first one so I guess I will get better in time

If you are talking about putting long fringe on the piece I would recommend that you check out a device called a "bead spinner" A cute tool that speeds up the process.

I made one a few years ago, a little differently, out of a piece of a swiveling hanger, a plastic cup, a wood base, and of course duct tape - LOL ... worked pretty good when I had a couple kilos of loose white beads and needed to lazy stich a white background.

LOL, Good ole duct tape. You can fix just about any thing with that stuff! My mom once fixed a car with it! LOL, not kidding either. The light was falling off from a fender bender and she popped that sucker right back in the hole and then taped it so it wouldn't fall out. Worked VERY well for like 3 years.
