MenNie are you looking for a pattern. You might want to check Crazy Crow or Noc Bay. They sell the Missouri River Patterns. I don't have the Buckskin Dress Pattern yet. But I know the other patterns I have, except the ribbon shirt patterns, are pretty easy to use. And all of my pieces have come out looking pretty nice. Normally the patterns run about $8 each. Hope that helps you out some.

I have the dress . I just have never beaded that large of an area an I dont want it to look like a firt timer beaded it , I was wondering if there was a yoke pattern or overlay pattern then I would bead it to that in case I mess up instead of to the dress .
thanks again Spotted Eagle

Tsiniti is on a distinguished road
I let my step father read this, as he is a beader and I'm not, what about beading a type of yoke or necklace that fits over the dress like a removable yoke? I've seen some patterns for that, and some of them are quite pretty. You may be able to adapt the pattern to stitching it to the buckskin too.

one of the patterns I saw used to be a crocheted shawl adapted to a beaded yoke ..... then they could put it over a dress, or even a sweatshirt ... would this be an idea you could use or even want?

Are you seriously wanting to bead the entire top? I've seen lots of iroquois buckskins from the 50's and 60's and they just have florals and clan symbols applique beaded on them. Rather plain actually but pretty and feminine too. My mother has one. Hers has of course a bear...several roses and tuscarora flowers.
