Say hello to Kobe

I think the theory is, if you offer the best venue, best singing and top prize money you will attract the best dancers from all over. Its not the only reason to go to an event, its just one reason to go. You could only have a championship like the Olympics by eliminating people along the way, and most Native events are all inclusive. I know my husband is really wanting to go to this event, and he's not even a hoop dancer, but he knows the story of what the hoop dance represents. He has been in Native American Dance Theatre, Schemitzun as Champion and Arena Director, Indio AD, etc. Not to brag but to point out that even people who've been to lots of things would want to see an event that's dedicated to this one dance. I also know how hard it is to make money on an event if you start out by giving away lots of money. Some day maybe our events will be televised and we'll make lots of money like the NBA.
