"New' Old Style Cherokee Outfit
I finally completed my outfit
I did do all my own sewing, had help cutting out the matchcoat, skirt and leggings. but I did the rest and sewing myself Yes I am very proud of it it's taken almost a year to do - I was very SCARED to sew, very scared!!! My Cousin Donnie gave me the silver This is a tradiationally correct outfit not an Historically correct - they would be in Blue or Red Wool Anyone else have a picture to post here -we'd love to see who else has made this style I love green........ I am so impressed by the work both of you have done on your regalia. The effort shows in the results-- great workmanship, color, balance, design, etc.. I have not yet seen this style in powwows in my area (DC/MD/VA), but will be looking forward to seeing this IRL.

Excuse me, I hope ya'll Ladies don't mind me poking my nose in here.
I just wanted to say that this dress looks real different from our Cherokee Ladies old style Tear Dresses, and imho, a lot more attractive! Is this the new dress that was recently brought out by our Eastern Band?
