Fringe...Please help

I have always purchased my shawls but have decided it's time to make my own and I have no clue how to attach chainette fringe. The fringe I have is on a strip, so it can be just sewed onto the edge, but I love the look of hand-tied fringe. Can someone please help me? I feel really silly asking this, but I am clueless! Thanks!

I used to use a rug hooking tool. I bought myself a set of large upholstery needles, they are the best thing to use. My favorite is 6 inches long and has a very large hole in end, I could squeeze up to 4 strands of fringe in there if I wanted, but I normally just double up my fringe instead.

Hi,

I use the rug hooking tool too. If the fabric is too tight, I make the holes wiht the upholstery needle and then use the rug hooking too.

I use an upholstery needle too. I tried with the rug hooking tool but lately I've just been grabbing the needle.
