Help and ideas needed for a Kiowa style PowWow dress

A good friend of mine whose family is Kiowa has asked me to make her a dress and what ever else she would need so she can get back out into the dance circle next year. I could us some ideas and help with this project so as it is done correctly and appropriately for the dance circle. Any pictures so I can see the correct style for the dress.

This is a more older version style of the Kiowa dress.

Ponca-We wears a more contemporary style

An even older version includes the shawl that goes around the middle.

Does the person know what style she wants?

she is not sure she just said that she did not want to embarrass her father who is a very respected man and I want to make her something that would please them both. thank you for your help Superndngyrl.
