Looking for advice

I am interested in dancing cloth and would like any advice on how to get started. I know there are alot of things I need to learn before I begin. Any advice would be appreciated :)

What style of cloth? Kiowa, Comanche,
CHerokee, Osage, etc.
That is the first place to start.

Basic is a t dress. Pattern in Crazy Crow trading post. They will have a lot of what you may need. An apron with or without fringe. This depends on your access to materials. Need a leather belt, hide boots,
Kiowa do not have a tab on the side of the dress. Need a shawl before anything. You are properly dressed with a shawl over your shoulders. A fan or purse for the right hand. After the basics are down, you can think of the accessories like hairties, crowns, barrettes, breastplates, etc.
The hem should come to mid calf. Some wear it shorter but I was taught that you do not show any skin between hem and boots.
