Question T-Dress Fabrics?

When making a T-Dress what types of fabrics do you use? Can they be made from prints broadcloth? or are we supposed to use solid colors only. What colors? I am making another one in solid, dark blue color with ribbons. My other one was solid silky type dark red. Just curious if I can use prints?

Nashoba,

There are alot of things to consider when making this decision.
Do you live in a hot humid state? Are you wanting a traditional T-dress or one with a contemporary look? Are you wanting one for comfort or looks? Are you wanting a fabric that you can add designs on?

A good safe bet is to purchase broadcloth for the winter and several good cotton patterned and cloth dresses for the summer.

Calico is a good choice for a t-dress, calico comes in a variety of colors and patterns. i like a lighter wieght wool for winter wear.
