I have three - and one starting on
one set of beadwork for all

I have a ribbonwork dress with a set of matching beadwork, and a couple of cloth dresses. And I have my traditional Quapaw dress.

The Quapaw dress isn't really that fancy. It is a skirt and blouse with an apron over the skirt. The blouse is long sleeves and has a big round collar that hangs halfway down the top and goes all the way around. The apron is white and often is kind of lacy. The material of the dress is cotton and either a solid or a small calico print. Ribbons that match are sewn around the bottom of the collar, the sleeves, the apron, and the skirt. The skirt is rather long. You wear partially beaded moccs and no leggings. Many women also wear a silver hair comb that extends across the back of the head. It stands up a little above the head and has little holes across the top of it. Ribbons like the ones on the outfit are tied throught the holes and hang down the back.

i have been very blessed in my life to have one mother who sews and one who beads. so i have three sets of beadwork including a crow set.
i have one elk tooth dress, several underdresses that can be worn alone and 4 or 5 other top dresses. i feel pretty set so i try to dress out other people as much as i can. have dressed out my man and his family, my best friend, anyone i know who has only one i try to make them new ones. but i decided to stop and bead something for myself so i am making a new purse.
