Material Girl
Okay, now that I have everyone's attention. Does anyone know where in Oklahoma is the best place to get material? I mean yeah there's walmart, hobby lobby...but is there any place that one might not know of anywhere? Just wondering. I'm needing new shirts and I want them to look goot this year. Mad crazy good!!! LOL

right outside oklahoma city not sure which town... ill pm you later with the exact town. There is a place my mom and i go to called Helen Enochs.. they have beautiful material.. very pricey some 20 dollars a yard.. but i mean material you wont see at walmart.. in the back room they have a great remnant room full of decent size pieces of material which is great for applique and wonder undering. This material is imported from all over and the colors are amazing.. im saving my pennies now so i can cash in on some material next time i visit.... let me know what you think if you are able to find it.. :)

South side of OKC on 59th and Blackwelder. Just get off the interstate(44) at 59th and head east. You will hit Helen Enochs and about 1/2 a block down is Thompsons Trim...excellent sparkle satin and bridal satin(this is all my mom will use, the quality is much better than what you will get at Hobby lobby, Hancocks or Walmart..we don't do walmart except for gaberdine..their satin is too thin) Both stores are on the south side of the street(right side).
For Broadcloth we go to Ponca City or to Shawnee to the trading posts there. You can get this almost anywhere though, at any indian store. Thompson's also has nice rhinestones and small accessories like that. They also have a large variety of sequins, like for fancy shawl stuff. Hope that helps for what is in OKC |

yeah thanks to you both. I need to go down there. I am getting broadcloth this week. I'm getting married in June and we're doing a tradish wedding. So I already have material for my shirt and it's in the process of being made. But I want some new shirts this year for my other outfits. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah I'll have to take some regular pics to post on here! That will be fun. He's Creek/Seminole so he'll wear a ribbon shirt. I'm Kaw, Ponca, and Mescalero Apache and I'm going Kaw for the wedding. Which costs more!!! But I got the Kaw from my mom and she's paying for it! So it's broadcloth skirt, leggings, cloth shirt, conchos, new beaded jewelry and all that fun stuff!! Cool thing is that I can still wear the stuff to dance in after I'm married!
