Northern or southern

What kind of song to you prefer to dance to?

I prefer to dance to a southern song. I hear a few good northern songs but I can "swing and sway" better to a southern song!!!!

I like both. I'm southeastern so I like southern songs but I've been dancing fancy shawl so I'm used to go on my toes and dancing faster in northern songs.

I am sure it all depends on where you are from, how you were raised, the tribe you're from, etc.

Yea i love dancing to southern songs!!! but northern is good to listen to. :)

I like either one. The only thing I can't stand to dance to is a drum that can't stay in beat, or has a monotone beat, or just flat can't sing. That is a bummer. Then it is embarrassing when the judges ask for another song and you tried your best to make your dancing look good to that sorry song. LOL
Northern gives you the opportunity to show how smooth you are whereas southern shows how good you can keep time.

I love southern songs can dance well and move to them

but don't get me wrong a good song is good no matter northern or southern, have heard a lot more nothern drum songs

I prefer Northern, since I'm a Northern dancer, not Oklahoma style. But I can dance to some Southern drums, such as Silvercloud and YoungBird. However, a lot of times the honor beat on the Southern drums throws me off and I have to correct my step.
