Yes as Spring is about to rotate around....Hickey advertising is at an all time high....Folks are not shy when it comes to marking their "territory". H.S. students just might be the most creative, but particular powwow peeps persist on public perceptions.....Everywhere....and I suppose you can take that literally....Hickeys just abound....Initials, Full Names, designs.....you name it....Back to not being shy....What about that one who gets "tatooed" at one powwow and right before the next their doctoring their neck in hopes of descending on more prey, or to reinforce their alibi.....Oh and in no way does the above statement intend on being anti hickey.....Just an F.Y.I.

I never thought of it like this until recently...


We just installed a new photo exhibit where I work. It features Indian students photography from the states of Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

The photos are supposed to represent themselves and their communities. One of the photos is of some guys neck with a big ol' Hickey!

Well at least the non Indians who see the photo exhibit now know that Indians can KISS ... *L

Hickeys have been used to mark territory - lol - mostly by the kids, but I have seen a few older folks with hickies in .... well, unexpected places.... that you may discover when they remove their scarves or something after competition - and it makes you go hmmmm...how'd they do that.

What about the bandaids on the hickeys - how funny is that???

Spring is a dangerous time for skins - lol. BEWARE!!! BE AFRAID - BE VERY AFRAID!!!
