Is it just me or do others think this? >>>>>>>

Watching the news today I kept seeing reporters standing beside roads that are iced over, car's sliding all over the place, talking about the wrecks that have and are happening. Now is it just me or do the rest of you wonder if these people have any brains at all?
I mean get real, people are having wrecks, sliding out of control on the road and YOUR STANDING NEXT TO THE ROAD?! Hope their insurance is paid up!

Well being from Winnipeg, I just think it's ridiculous for them to report about ice!

If reporters here did that - we wouldn't hear about anything else.

I suspect the influence of Darwin in that situation.

Ah, but you get snow and Ice on a regular basis. Down here it's rare. Car repair shops love it when we have that rare snow and Ice storm because NO ONE down here knows how to drive in it and the interstates start looking like large bumper car games.

I once heard tow truck operators talking at the coffee shop. One said, "Snow is like gold falling from the sky..."

Real journalism went out with Walter Cronkite. Nowadays all you have to have is a journalism degree and be physically attractive to be a reporter.

Here in Nashville, people can't drive when the roads are clear and the weather's good. This morning, I stayed home from work to avoid the many idiots out there trying to get to work, and panicked because "IT SNOWED!!!!!!" Wrecks all over town. If they'd slow down, use their turn signals, stay off their cell phones, and pay attention they would find that it's alot easier to drive and drive better.

Sigh...

We had ice on bridges this morning.......a local TV station here in the DFW area had a reporter interviewing an accident victim, when a car lost control on the slick bridge and hit the camera man. Couldn't believe they were doing this interview on the side of the road on a slick spot!!! The camera man was okay......but pretty banged up.

Here in the south it pratically is gold falling from the sky or sliding off the road in reality.

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often! I saw a reporter last year hiding behind a metal garabage can during a hurricane he was reporting in. All around him, things were flying through the air, power lines were snapping ect... The reporter was behind a garbage can and the camera man was standing 20 ft. away in the open like it was your average sunny day.
