NdN's and Elvis.....
My Grandma loved Elvis! She had all his records. I have seen Elvis tee shirts and posters at alot of Powwows. I even saw an Elvis impersonator at a Powwow once. What is up with NdN's and Elvis? Can some one please explain lol....... My grandmother told me that Elvis was actually Indian but I'm not sure if this is true or just wishful thinking on her part. I never heard this anywhere else

my dad lovs elvis too.. one year when i was younger my sisters and I all threw him and elvis party with and elvis cake we had someone make fer him, omg you'd think he had died and gone to heaven, said it was the best Bday he ever had.. and he too collects elvis memorabilia, ties, pics, cups you name it... lol.. think its the music... but i have never heard elvis being indian.. but ya never know..lol...

I would be very interested to know if the rumour of Elvis having Indian ancestry is known to be fact by anyone. I have watched many biographies on TV but never have heard this mentioned. Does anyone know any details? I wonder if Elvis ever made mention of this himself.

That's not nice to make fun of part Cherokees.
We have half breed Cherokees in this powwows.com, don't upset them.  I heard Elvis have some Cherokee blood but I can't remember where I heard from.

IHe is still alive. He loves Powwows. He is not ndn, thought he really likes the food. I see him all the time @ powwows. He is the fat old spectator wearing the big sunglass.

I remember one year I was a kid and walking around at the American Indian Exposition.
When I got to my grandparent's camp, my older cousin was sobbing hysterically. I asked her why and she said, "He died." When I asked who, she said, "ELVIS!" I started laughing as she cried harder. Needless to say, I know Elvis died in August because that's when Indian Fair is.
