Good Morning All , havin some coffee and heading out...the house I'm working on is almost done and the in-laws are wanting to start moving in....should just about finish it today or tomorrow....

Tainee went out and got some cold and flu stuff and I'm at least comfy now. I took a nap and the Fed-Ex guy brought me a box of beads while I was sleeping :-)

we had a layer of 4-6 inches then ice on top that about a quarter inch... then another 3 -4 inches of snow.. then a lil more ice.... in 24 hours... it has been a pain in the butt walking to work... lol... i am so glad monday is coming!! woooo! mom is off and she is gonna take me to the licence bureau and get another permit packet and she is going to take me to sign up for driving school!

today when i got to work i was already exuasted...took me about two hours after i got there to recover... lol... and i was only there for 7 hour today. i did get a ride home thou! sweet!!!

amber my room mate is going to be gone for a week. my mom worries with me walking an hour to work now since i moved out

This was submitted by a guy who purchased his lovely wife a "pocket Taser" for their anniversary. Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop

Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Toni what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave.

Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two triple-a batteries, right?!!! There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood loving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I wrong?

So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, taser in another. The directions said that a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant; a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; a three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water. Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries.

All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference; pretty cute really and loaded with two itsy, bitsy triple-a batteries) thinking to myself, "no possible way!"

What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best..... I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side as to say, "don't do it master," reasoning that a one-second burst from such a tiny little ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad. I decided to give myself a one-second burst just for the heck of it. I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and HOLY MOTHER! WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION @!@$$!%!@*!!!

I'm pretty sure Jessie Ventura ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs. The cat was standing over me making meowing sounds I had never heard before, licking my face, undoubtedly thinking to herself, "Do it again, do it again!"

Note: If you ever feel compelled to "mug" yourself with a taser, one note of caution: there is no such thing as a one-second burst when you zap yourself. You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor. A three second burst would be considered conservative. SON-OF-A-*****. that hurt like hell!!! A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape.

My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace. How did they up get there??? My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching. My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs.

I'm still looking for my testicles? I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return. Still in shock,

hahahahaha......I just got home.......no, I'm not !......prolly a bologna sammich ! lol or whatever I go in there and fix ! The other half got her hair fixed ( even though I didn't know it was broke !LOL ) and took our daughter to town.....so it's me and the boy ! I will go cook him something cause he hasn't eaten either ! And it'll just be me and him tomorrow as she's going shopping tomorrow in KC....but that's O.K. cause I have regalia to patch up and we'll have a nice peaceful day !

I have a similiar story......back when I was little, my pawpaw had some land in East Texas. When we'd come down to East Texas for a visit he'd sometimes take some of the older kids (mostly the boys) down to a creek that ran across his land. He called the creek "tiger branch". He thought it had all kinds of healing waters and would help the boys to grow into big strong boys if they drank the water. I was the only girl cousin, so I mostly had to stay at the house with my mawmaw....but everyonce in awhile when the boys were out playing or hunting, pawpaw would take me down to "tiger branch" to wade in the water.

Well, my family was living in West Texas and me and my brother spent most of our play time outside, especially during the summer........so we stayed pretty dark all year round.
I had some cousins (from the white side of the family) that lived down in Houston and they had really pale white skin.

One summer we all met down there for the 4th of July.....we hadn't been there very long before my pawpaw looked at all of us kids, he told me and my brother to stay at the house, that the kids from Houston were too "pale and sickly looking" so he was going to take them to "tiger branch" to drink some of that good healing water so they'd get tan and healthy looking. haha They never did tan much.......just got sunburned while me and my brother just stayed dark.
I don't think pawpaw ever realized it had more to do with our genetics than our health......haha.
