haha, the navajo nation doesnt recognize this official holiday. and if youre workin today, good for you. its a worthless holiday that doesnt need to be celebrated anyways.

what im waiting to see on the news is the columbus day parade in denver colorado. it always makes the headlines somewhere. on one street columbus day marchers are greeted on the next street by indians...lol theres always a comotion in there somewhere.

any thoughts or stories.....lol

When I went back to post secondary school in 1992 I made and wore a painted sweatshirt....... it said...

1492 - 1992 500 yrs of genocide, racism and rape! I then had a eagle feather splattered with blood and blood dripping from the quill. I also wore my plume and quilled wheel.

Dang......can't figure why no one liked it!

You're right. I don't understand why they considered him a hero. I heard he never stepped on the continent North America. Why are some Italians putting him up on a pedestal? Didn't Columbus join Spain and work for their country. Are there any Spanish or Latin Americans marchin in the parade?

I made it until 9:30 PM without hearing that it was "$#!t F****" day today. I went to school today and Mato, if I would've seen you there, I would have walked up to you given you a big hug and a thank you.

PS, he was from Genoa which was at the time considered the sub-human form of Italians. He evidently exceeded the stereotypes....
