Ashley Simpson caught faking it on SNL

Hey anyone watch SNL last night???? OMG Ashley Simpson proved her fakeness!!! She was caught then blamed her own band for playing the wrong song BUT the tape was singing and she wasnt. The her flimsy attempt to make it look like a mistake mader her look even worse, her lil Hoe Down hahaha yea the HOE went DOWN!!! excuse my use of words but i feel music these days is just NOT music anymore so many people doing whatever it takes to make it big, heck if my kids wanted to make it big all it would take is a trip to walmart and buy a digitizer to make them sound like whoever they want. I doi not have alot of respect for singers these days for the exact reason , if you cant sing RAW then what is the point Like i mean it is we the public that fall for crap like this while supporting thier lavish lifestyles. Poor girl i do feel for her being pushed by her own parents becasue they want to live the life that thier other daughter Jessica has so well provided for them. Like whats all these kids from the mickey mouse club and the family channel got any bussiness doing trying to be singers, Hilary Duff, Britney Spears ( who lip Syncs cause she cant dance and Sing), and there are many more to mention, think next time before you so eagerly go out and buy model made music, who is that you are supporting. I say Stick to classics;the music these days is borrowed and fake, all the boy bands and all the teen girl bands and thier parents that push them cause they didnt have the gutts to do it themselves. Hahhaha One down many more to go. I say get all these little people have them sing accapello and then we as the REAL public be the Judge!! Desperate people trying to cash in on what others have worked all thier lives to accomplish and we have the snots that think they can just rise up outta no where, No wonder our youth are messed up being pushed to keep the coorperates happy.
Sorry for the ranting , but i Love Music and my Husband is a musician and it really bothers us when we see something like this happen when we could be focussing our attention to those that DO deserve the recognition.

Is it possible that since this is cold and flu season that she was unable to perform so they tried to pull a ruse simply so the show could go on?

I agree with you on alot of today's music though... but man does that make us sound old when we say it. LOL!

omg...i just saw it on the news...i had the tv on last night while i was here...but i didnt pay attention...how embarrasing for her...i never heard of her b4 and was surprised to hear it's jessica's sister.. note: never try to do a cheesy hoe down jig if something goes wrong! :Blush

Pieces of Me was actually the first song she sang that nite...apparently her band started playing the wrong song for her second performance... at least thats how she explained it at the end of SNL...about the vocal track though...i dunno.. it would have very well been background vocals...the first time she sang i didnt think it sounded that great..not Cd quality for sure...so maybe she lip syncs maybe she doesnt..

Shoooooooooot. How are people gonna come on here and hate when they KNOW they could be implicated in a few acts of fakin' it themselves. Probably busted out a side step when you were caught too.

On a serious note, has anyone seen the movie "The Last Waltz"? (I bet BB has ;)) .. it's a documentation of "The Band" 's last performance. All kinds of folks showed up to wish them well - Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, Van Morrisson, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Ronnie Hawkins etc etc etc. Now THAT was singing - that was a live performance. Reminded me of what true talent is all about.

LOL... Good Morning America showed a replay this morning. ROFL... I was thinking what a dumb thing to do, jumpin around trying to dance and she is suppose to look like she is singing.

If it was the wrong song, and she was lip syncing anyway, why didn't she just fake sing AGAIN!

Don't the act on SNL usually sing live? You can tell cause they sound not so hot.....

Well you know... it's just today's pop I'm not fond of. Everyone sounds the same and all of them have that fake sexy tone to them like Brittany Spears.. that singing through the nose. oh baby baby. Fake whiskey voice we call it. And the lyrics got no soul .... just empty and repetitive. Not that punk rock is'nt repetitive LOL, but at least it's emotional even if anger is the emotion of choice.
