NDNQT... where are yoU!?!? we miss you!

DC is LIVE! it's incredible to see so many natives around "town." there are daily performances and concerts on the mall, so dc is rockin' to some native vibes. the procession was quite overwhelming - needless to say i think everyone had a good time.... definitely can't complain about the weather!
the 49's were CRAZY! buncha rowdy ndns - you know, same place different venue.
the museum is flooded w/peeps and it's a good time! we're only 1/2 way through the week, there's a powwow tonight (@ the renaissance hotel) and then again on saturday (@ the grand hyatt)... and of course all the festivities are still occurring... so we'll see what happens...

I didn't get to meet any of you! :(

I almost met WhoMe, and missed him by only minutes but I think he was the only one I came close to meeting. I was so busy checking everything out and visiting people that by the time I made it in at night, I stayed in and just visited some more. I didn't venture out at all late night, but that was okay. I took lots of pictures but I haven't developed them yet, when I do, I will post them. I was so happy to see all the NDN's in DC and it was awesome to be a part of the procession, our group had about 80 people and it was so cool. The museum itself was beautiful and I want to go back another time to see it again, it was pretty crowded for me to be comfortable but I loved the videos and the theatre. :) I'm so happy that I got to witness this one time only event. 80 thousand people !!!!! 25, 000 in the procession and another 55,000 spectators!!! So awesome....

Bushy, I recognized you and your sister at the pow-wow at the Renaissance but I didn't go out and dance then we only stayed for a bit and then went upstairs to eat. I didn't get to meet anyone either! But it was so crazy on Tuesday I figured everyone was just everywhere. I wasn't able to meet WhoMe cuz he was MCing while I was at my conference. Next time.

It was a good week. Lots and Lots of natives and it was great to see so many people. The procession was long and I was tired from standing and hot but it was a good time. Was nice to hear Indigenous sing my song " Come on Suzie, I'm hooked on you, let me be your man" LOL

Too bad we didn't get to meet! We'll have to try again soon

Awww still mad at the my brother and sister for going without me. Well we couldnt cause they decided (the peeps that organized it from our tribe anywayz) hahaha should say tribal politics lol, to take some younger kids who never been anywhere. oh well but they had fun.

Hey Bushy I sent you an email! I saw you and Bux on the video the other day. And I also saw April and John "Stickboy" Oxendine on the video. I was so excited here at work going "I know that person and that person". They were laughing at me. It looked so awesome!

that's sooo cool... i know folks were sayin' they saw us on the jumbo-trons... i've been tryin' to look for that webcast too. supposedly it's suppost to remain on the site, but i haven't seen it yet. i really wanted to though!
yea we got to party w/the "lums"... had a good time... i was really happy to see them and a couple of the saponi folks... nc was representin'!

saw the local station's report on this that day. i just kept thinking and told my sis, "you know what, we SHOULDA gone!!" it was cool to see all them skndns :D especially seeing them all dressed up :Thumbs awesome! ... now after reading this ... man! we shoulda gone!
