Driver: 'Arrest me, I'm drunk'

****You'll NEVER see a Native doing this......

Driver: 'Arrest me, I'm drunk'

BOSTON, Massachusetts (Reuters) -- In this story, it was the drunk driver who pulled over the police officer.

"He pulled up behind me, rolled down the passenger side window and said he was looking for a police officer to arrest him," Ian McCollin, chief of police in Vernon, Vermont, said in an interview on Wednesday. "When I asked him why, he replied 'I'm drunk."'

To make matters worse, the drunk driver was operating on a suspended license, which was taken away after a previous drunk driving charge, McCollin said.

Bryan Condo, 28, was driving on a quiet Vermont road at night when he asked McCollin to take him in. Since drivers rarely pull over police cruisers, a cautious McCollin called a colleague for backup with an amused "You won't believe this one."

"I was a little concerned but I also wanted him to hear the story too," he said. "I was afraid they'd think I was senile or losing my mind."

Police discovered Condo, a resident of North Pownal in Western Vermont, was four times over the legal limit and charged him with driving under the influence as well as driving without a license.

Condo was released hours after his arrest and will be arraigned on August 17. He could not be reached for comment.

"This guy was hilarious," McCollin said. "And he was very cooperative and polite, unlike your average drunk driver."

I wonder if this guy is related to the following story . . .

__

One Friday night, after the Gathering of Nations had ended for the evening, an Indian guy was in a hurry to get to Midnight Rodeo - a popular Indian afterhours hangout in Albuquerque.

As he was headed north on 1-35 in his pickup truck, a jet-black mercedes swerved in front of him, causing him to crash into the mercedes tail end.

They both pull over.

Immediately a beautiful blonde white lady jumps out of her mercedes, finishes up a frantic conversation on her cell phone, hangs up and pleads with the Indian guy not to worry about running into her because she does not want her husband to find out it was her fault.

"Well," says the Indian, "are you sure?"

The white woman reassured him with, "Absolutely. And to show my gratitude, I want to open a bottle of wine and share it with you."

The Indian said, "Well, if you are absolutely sure. . . then I'll happy to share some of your wine with you."

The rich white lady opens the wine and pours the Indian a drink, and then another, then another and hands the bottle of wine to the Indian.

The Indian asks, "aren't you going to have any?"

"OH, no thank you," says the white woman.

About that time, a New Mexico Highway Patrolman pulls over and sees the Indian holding the nearly empty wine bottle.

The white woman immediately walks over to the officer and says . . .

"See officer, I told you he was drinking!"
