Question HotWire.com???

does anyone on here ever use that site to purchase airline tickets or make hotel reservations via that site??? if so..what were you experiences with it? Did you like your flight times? Is it a joke? LOL ....i'm curious as to know, because they do not show the flight times/airline name until you purchase the flight... ...??????

I used Hotwire to book a hotel, rental car, and flight to California, and was fairly impressed with it. I give 2 thumbs up to hotwire

so were your flights pretty good.. i mean the times and what not? because if you choose the "no red eye" option... did you still get your flights in a farely good time during the day?? rather than like late late at night or early early in the morning???

If you book far enough in advance, you usually won't have to worry about flying through the night or anything. I can't remember what times our flights were, but I don't recall my girlfriend or I complaining about it, so it couldn't have been too bad ;) We didn't choose the no redeye option, and we got into L.A. sometime after sunset, but I don't remember if it was early or late evening.

The only problem I had with the flights was the little tiny plane they stuck us on for the second leg of the flight home. My knees were in my chest and sleeping was out of the question.

i have used this website more than a couple of times and i liked it. I only used it for flights though, and each time i wanted a red eye flight so i could spend more time on vacation!!! and i got it too! :) but if you don't mark the red eye option, then you won't get it. the hotels they associate with are pretty good. my friend's mother booked a 2 star hotel for like 30 a night, and it ended up being the Candlewood Suites, with a kitchen and everything. So i and people i know have had pretty good experiences with this website. If you have ever purchased from priceline, their are along the same lines. but if you're still weary, you should try priceline with their new option of seeing the carriers and times. hope this helps!

one more thing

one more thing, if you happen to put in the wrong date by accident and happen to notice that AFTER you purchased, call them immediately and they should compensate you. my dad did that, and he called as soon as possible, and they were able to fix the time, although i'm not sure if they did it for free, and if there was a fee, it wasn't that much b/c i don't remember my dad complaining about it!! :)

I've used Orbitz and Expedia. I recommend both. Orbitz has some extra features that are nice--they call you and let you know flight changes, etc.

i was lookin' into this site the other day too, somewhat apprehensive.... but i have heard nothing but good things.
tickets to puerto rico this time of year are ridiculously high, and my friend bid for $200 and got her ticket for $220 - that's a good deal if you ask me!
it's worth checking out, i mean afterall if they don't match your bid you're not charged... so go for it!

this is exactly why i was sketchy... especially w/the rules & regs stating that you'll fly sometime between 6am & 10pm... that's a BIG time window!

but then again if you get a steal on a flight - then the flight times really won't matter.
