Bugs Bunny Rulez! Forget about it. He's so cool, he can eat carrots, avoid Yosemite Sams attempts to take him out, and not even break a sweat...yeah, Bug is the epitome of "cool".

I don't know. I realize that the cartoon creators are to blame, and that their the real racists, but I always held it against Bugs Bunny for the episodes where he "plays Black" and walks all slumped over saying "I'm gonna catch me a raaaaabbit" and then the other one where he "plays Indian" and puts on a headband with a feather, carries a bow and arrow, and gets "shot" by the calvary (although, of course he comes back to life).
I think Scooby-Doo is my favorite, I don't remember anything racist about him.

See I myself always looked at it as a spoof of how movies and shows portrayed natives/blacks, etc. I never looked at it as Mel Black being racist. Just showing how minorities are shown by others and how it's goofy. But I guess it's just people's perception of things. I could see how one could be offended by the early day cartoons. Just like mascots and such. I still twitch when I hear the tomahawk chop song when FSU plays football. Gag!!! *L*

Candae, you are one sharp tool.... But Spaceghost? i know alot of ghosts who feel offended by Spaceghost, cuz they feel he sends a bad message out to all the little ghosts, by hanging out with that insect looking dude. Ghosts and insects get along about as good as Yankees and Southerners.J/K....

i like watchin all kinds of cartoons..looney tunez...but my all time favorite is INVADER ZIM and his trusty sidekick GRRR...it sucks they don't show it anymore

However, SpaceGhost is awesome and Brack and Zorak and Moltar are great "specimen" and anyone would be lucky to hang with them. I would let my child hang out with Spaceghost. As long as he didn't drive them anywhere. *L*

O.K. so if were talking about which cartoon charachters we'd let our kids hang out with, I would have to go with Yogi Bear. As far as cartoon charachters I wouldn't let my kids hang with, I would have to say Barney the Dinosaur, although technically he/she is not a "cartoon" charachter, I find Barney the Dinosaur leans a little to the ...... "too friendly" side of things,if you catch my drift. (Secretly, I think its M. Jackson in that purple outfit).

When I was younger... I woke waaaay early juss to watch my Gummi Bear cartoon... *L* I think that's what they were called. They even had breakfast cereal!!!!! Then there the Smurfs... rainbow bright... Carebears... that all promoted good ways.. :p:p:p Jks..

Today... I like the weirdo cartoon character.. Sponge Bob Square Pants. LOL... I can do his laff! But my buddy recommends I never do that again. :rofl2::42:

One cartoon... I soooo totally cannot stand.. Caillou... too baby-ish for me..

BUT it's all juss cartoons....
