YOU KNOW YOU ARE IN North Carolina IN JULY WHEN . .
-The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
-The trees are whistling for the dogs.
-The best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.
-Hot water now comes out of both taps.
-You can make sun tea instantly.
-You learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.
-The temperature drops below 95 and you feel a little chilly.
-You discover that in July it only takes 2 fingers to steer your car.

-You discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.
-You actually burn your hand opening the car door.
-You break into a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m.
-Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?"
-You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.
-The potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull one out and add butter, salt and pepper.
-Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs.
-The cows are giving evaporated milk.

It is hot as blazes :flaming: but that's the good ol' state of North Carolina!

You have all the regions and activities that you could ever dream of in one state. The Coast, Piedmont, and the Mountains. Waterfalls, beaches, foothills, camping, swimming, climbing, trailing, just about anything you want in this one State. Now don't get me wrong, I love to visit other places, but there is nothing like home, no matter whare it is.

Yea Sewickly. We know about that heat from this weekend don't we? It was sooo hot, that my sweat was sweating. It was soooo hot, the worms were using my sweat to take a hot bath. It was sooo hot, the grass applauded when I gave them shade. It was sooo hot, my boxers turned to briefs. It was sooo hot, you could take a hot shower in the rain.

Yep, NC was definitely HOT this past weekend.

I actually saw a chicken leading her crew across the road awhile ago, and she touched the ashpault and did an about face - sorta like a dance - hey, maybe that's a new trend....ya - I started it.... :16:
