I don't think any make-up should be worn when dancing; if it must be worn it should look natural. Just my opinion.

It doesn't mean anything. Its just worn to enhance the "look" of the outfit. I think it looks sweet! :D

There's nothing wrong with enhancing your eyes, what it looks like to me is the cat eye look that is so popular now.
now if one doesn't know how to apply Eye make up then it looks bad.

I was taught that you wore no make up or jewelry (per se) aside from the traditional type accessories. So I tend to still follow that except for my wedding band (I never take it off). But I am older and tend to stick with what my grandmothers and grandfathers taught me. Just my thoughts.

Me too I remember I came home with lip stick & eyeliner on & my mom grabed my hair & draged me into the bathroom & made me wash off my face,
now the only time I wear any kind of make up is when me & the hubby a have a date, so I can look purty for him.

I agree with Ladyredtailedhawk. I do have to add; as I get older, make-up and other things become less and less important to me. I rarely wear it day to day; but when I was a teen, I know I must have worn way too much. It just doesn't fit in with traditional native dancing. I'am talking about women's makeup, not face paint.
