Anishinaabe Karaoke Singer Wins $10,000

I just got done watching a local morning T.V. program that broadcast a "Super star" singing contest. It was broadcast "live" from London, Ontario.

The winner was Russ Blackbird from Bkejwanong Territory (Walpole Island). To me, he was the clearcut winner as he blew the other six finalists away. When it got down to the final three, I knew he had it! :worthy:

A bit more about Russ. He's a grass dancer & singer. He sings with the Whitefish Jrs. He's a school teacher on his rez. He's got ten grand and he's my buddy. Aye.
