Cell Phone Beef
Ok, I know we all feel like we can do some damage to those friggin cell phone companies... what is your story or stories that just get your blood boiling? Mine is as follows:

Found out that I had been getting charged "pay per use" on the GPRS from FIDO on my cell phone... pay per use is 0.03 a kilobyte... and I used like 6.76 megabytes... :Eyepopper

Friggin ****'s charged me $208, in addition to the $251 that I owed previously, so figure that bill out eh? :tongue11:

arnt fido cell phones the pay as u talk ones only u can only use em at certain places an u buy a card to pay as u talk

fidos have contracts i didnt think so cuz i thought u can only buy those cells at the 7/11 convenience store

LOL! I'm sure you can find those phones somewhere other than 7-11. Does 7-11 sell anything that you can't find somewhere else?

Yeah cell phones can be a pain - my friend had hers on while we were in Minnesota and ended up with around $450 worth of roaming fees!!!

Bottom line is - know what your agreement says so you know what you have to pay for and how much!

$200 a month! Im on a $50 plan with verizon for 2 phones with 3000 minutes. We havent gone over since we got them 2 years ago.

Ill bet your one of them people who constantly have the phone to their ear, walking, driving, eating...

When I am next to someone in a car with a phone to their ear I just lay down the horn non stop till them pull away.

My friend went to miami one year and everyone used his phone all weekend. His bill was $2000. They all paid him tho.

and i thought those fidos where only around between 30 an 60 somthing bux well i had a fren who had one an it was cheap an it only looked like a toy cell

I thought the same thing what BFH did. I only see those in 7-11. I have a sliding cell phone. I luv my phone. LOL hey riverwomen what's up with the pic? LOL

My story:

My fella went back to Montana for a month during xmas break.

Roaming charges galore!!! Talk about Roaming from Ottawa, to Denver to Montana to Denver to Ottawa, and also calls he made within MT.

ROAMING CHARGES through that month, yup peeps...
a whopping bill of $1900!!!!
And to sum things up, the long distance charges that month were about $300

Now, the worst part is. We both know how the roaming charges work. Miscommunication as to who was gonna switch over to "US ROAM" with our Bell Mobility Cell company.
I thought he was, and he thought I was.
It's a joint plan, I only switched over mine! *oops*

$1900.00 cell phone bill?!?!?!?! OMG!!!! That sounds like a record. Anyone else have a cell phone bill higher than that?
