Somethings been bothering me all day today.

How can a deaf person whose been deaf all his life have an accent? People who are deaf in england have an english accent when i hear them talking and people in the south have a southern accent when talking and yankees have a yankee accent as well.

How is that possible!

Good thought, that's definitely something to think about. Don't think about it too long though! :)

thought speech language therapy for the deaf involved mouth/jaw/speech patterning...

forming words/sounds by learning how to copy the position of the jaw/tongue & breathing (vibrations)patterns of the teacher...lip reading in reverse.

so my theory... would be that unless the person became deaf after learning/hearing a language that the teacher's dialect would be want was learned

heck, i don't know....deep thoughts
