Hey maggie.. the offer is still up if you want me to draw you what you want in a turtle... . no one can really stop at one tatoo... trust me on that. I finally found what i want for my third... AND HEY.. what's wrong with the biker chicks???? I love fully sleeved arms!!! wish i had them but don't know what I would want to fill my arms up with.
yep the armpit and under part of the arm along with ankles, and wrists are the most sensitive. on your shoulders closer to the neck starts getting pretty sensitive to and feels like you are being pinched good with tiny fingers. The guy who did my tatoos originally told me it was like being stung by a bee over and over, but yeah it was more like a cat scratch. Storm's your uncle? On your dad's side then I take it.

We were watching one of those shows on Discovery about people who are really into tattoos. The neatest one I saw was this one on a lady's back and shoulders which was the face of an owl dead center on the back betwen her shoulder blades, with the wings on the shoulders and upper arms. When she raised her arms, it looked like the owl was raising its wings. I know ndn's generally don't like owls, but to us Cherokees they were sacred, a protecter. I'm sure an eagle done like that would look really cool, too. I have a red rose tattoo, but not where anyone except the old man sees it.
Up until about the mid 1700's most southeastern tribes tattooed over the entire body. The art was functional, as the designs often told your tribe, clan, status, society memberships, and honors, as well as serving as camouflage. Men and women both were tattooed from forehead to wrists and ankles. Of course, this was also when we wore a lot less clothing. During warm weather the men wore a breechcloth whic looked like a big diaper held in place with a belt, and women wore a wrap skirt which fell to just above the knee and no tops. Kids ran nekkid until about age 10. While the above-mentioned traditional regalia would show off those tribal tattoos quite well, it wouldn't go over too well at the powwow. |

I thought about getting a tattoo, but a good friend of mine made me think about it. When I am an 80 year old grandma, would I want to be sporting a tattoo? The tattoo would seem cool now, but in about 50 years it won't be. Know what i Mean?
Anyhow....I ended up just piercing my nose. It didn't hurt at all and if I ever decide to get rid of it, the scar will be minimal. |

Stirbaby:
This is not the place to talk about THOSE kind of tattoos. Thats the old way, bundle way. NOT for the internet. If no one is left who can make Potano tattoos then it is gone. This forum is for stuff like chinese symbols on Shawnee girls...

Your body's a temple, becareful what you put in it. But I'm a big ol wusssssssssssssssss! Love your decision. And girl, you are beautiful! You don't need a tat to remind you when you get old! My gram was beautiful till the day she died!
Would someone be nice to stirbaby! I happen to like the guy a whole lot! Comments like that, maybe should be said in a PM. I fully understand your words, I would never discuss such matters of Mide here, (or anywhere for that matter). He is learning, remember to teach with care.

That tattooing stuff is addictive!
Next pay check i am getting a turtle on my back... or my shoudler... i dunno yet..pay time isn't for a couple of weeks. Then that is it! I don't want anything huge...the turtle will only be as big as a half dollar... well maybe a bit bigger but nothing huge.
