:Chatter Nawp. . .that's just you! :Chatter :Chatter
Yeah, SE. . .I saw this guy when he first joined. Something tells me he's probably one of our regulars just trying to stir up some stuff while it's slow, though. Actually, I hope that's all it is. |

Furthermore, you'd tell anyone who told you differently that you were gonna do whatever you wanted to do? Please, answer those two questions directly. *sigh* OKAY, ONCE MORE FOR THE IMPAIRED... I SAID... I SEE NOTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH WOMEN AT THE DRUM, ON IT OR BEHIND IT. (IF THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO YOUR TRIBE THEN DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT) AS FAR AS THIS, "I WOULD TELL ANYONE I WAS GONNA DO WHATEVER I WANTED TO DO"... NOT WHAT I SAID... IN REFERENCE TO COMMENTS IN GENERAL... I SAID ... I CAN SAY AS I WANT TO, YOU CAN LIKE IT OR NOT, IT MAKES NO NEVERMIND.

It does not apply to my tribes, but it does not apply to your tribe either. . .that is why I'm confused with your statement. Are you saying that women who's tribes allow this get a thumbs up from you, and those who don't allow it are cool too? If that's the case, then yeah--we've all said that.
Again, you can say what you want. . .true. But my question was if the elders told you to stop that nonsense, THEN would you say what you want? You came across as saying you feel you could beat the drum, and it didn't matter who liked it. You further verified this (at least to some) by agreeing with Tibiki or whatever his name is. If you'd like to further explain yourself, then please take a moment to do so. |

Redbear, I'm glad I was able to see you more clearly.
As to Tibiki. . .I have read his posts from time to time on here, and if this is your first encounter with him, I encourage you to do a search a read up for yourself. In my opinion, based on what I have read from him, he was not merely asking a question. He even went so far as to insult the Anish women, and encourage them to take their place at the drum. Again, just in my opinion, this is not a humble question in which he wanted to get opinions. But to each his or her own conclusions. |

Well, if you can't beat them, join them, huh, tibiki?
The ndn women here have been telling you off fo awhile now, you don't have their support. So use the old Kiss Their *** Method now. I suppose you think that will get you some brownie points. You're really pitiful and not a man. Jibby and S.E., you gals have it right!! They're on to your shyt tibiki and I laugh at your shallow attempt to patronize NDN women. So Red Bear, you full blood or just one of those 1/16th Cherokees whose just discovered her great grandmother was a princess and now thinks you can do anything ndn? You let some white boy humiliate you. Funny part was, it was so easy. If you're that easy, how about you and I getting together? You know, hook up maybe? I live just one and a half hours south of CHerokee and I've never seen women there sitting at a drum. Tibiki, quit trying to butter up the women, your only coming across as a fag. You're really funny white boy! Last edited by eagleshield01; 09-11-2003 at 09:37 AM. |

I'd like o know how you think I talk to women like they are second to me. Actually, I'd really like to know how you think! My soon to be ex-wife gave birth to my one and only child and he is mine, just as much as hers. When are you going to make a bit of sense. You have the nerve to call ndn men no good. That we walk out on our women and children? Man, Phuck ewe! Thats a white mans trait. As for my saying that a woman beating the drum is like beating themsleves, well, leave it you to take that at face value and not reading it metaphoricly. No, I've never witnessed a water blessing and don't wish too. But you have no doubt witnessd everything ndn. That why you think yu know so much. You don't know jack shyt. When i lived in Maryland a while back there were two wannabe ndn women drum groups there. All white. They "adopted" ndn ways and thought they had the right to start a drum. They sang Lakota songs and made a shambles of them, couldn't even pronounce the words right. And I told them that what they were doing was wrong and disrespectful in no uncertain terms and lets just say they dont drum anymore. Bottom line is tipi canoe, you don't ave the right to change our ways. And I can give a fat rats azz if you grew up on the rez, which youhav told us dozens of times. Grow your hair and wear some beads hippy. Last edited by eagleshield01; 09-11-2003 at 09:59 AM. |

I am not trying to change things in fact like I was told by an Elder only this weekend most men are so insecure to truth that they need to believe that they are supirior to women, this will never again be true.
Quote from that wannabe white boy. Man you just make that b.s. up as you go along. Just like the rest of your life. And you wonder why everyone is always kicking your ***. |

women have done the same.. It is certainly not a trait associated with a skin color or culture or sex. It would be nice if those who are often imitated would care to educate rather than hate...Do you think that perhaps people try to imitate what they admire? Obviously nobody can be what they are not, but perhaps if they were helped to understand why they would find their own path more easily.
