Well, I'm adding to the pile I already have, not sure if I'll get any of it done. I did finish a couple of things, but the pile keeps on growing and I won't be able to get into my craft room soon.

Well, I got my niece's traditional dress done. Took a pic but have to wait to get developed later.
Got the design put on a skirt and cape for a high school friend of mine. Oh, and put a different design on her other shawl. Finished my grandson's mocs so he can dance this weekend. Found some little cowbells in my closet so he can wear those too. Tonight I'm gonna try to cut out 6 shawls and 8 capes and 16 leggings (8 pair :p) this evening. 3 of my nieces needs outfits for this weekend. Yeah, right!:Chatter Then I'm still beading a pair of mocs for my friend, and need to do a baby quilt for my cousin, and I better start one for my daughter! And I got orders for 3 little jingle dresses. |

Dang, I better get busy so I can get to bed by midnight. But I swear this is my unlucky day. Teach me to miss work on Friday the 13th and stay home. Somebody in the bustle making class left an iron on. Then a kid in my quilting class set it down on a plastic lid. Didn't even realize it was on until it made a terrible mess. At least it didn't burn the school down. But I had to try to burn it down a second time! After class I went to the store and got some Brown and Serve Sausage (what can I say, I'm trying Atkin's:Chatter ), and was cooking it up on the gas stove here in the home ec room. I noticed the flame wasn't on after awhile, so I turned it up and PHOOF!!! About took my eyelashes off! Sun's going down, so I just know the spooks are coming out to scare the crap out of me!! |

the work
Beadwork has always been my me time, I have very little of my own, I'm still like a rooky, I give away my prettys and don't even take pictures.
Mine is a project of epic proportions: the wedding dress. I have the buckskin, I have the beads, I even have a hint of the design, and it is a several phase process. The primary peice is an eagle designed by my fiance, he has the art skill with pencil and paint, It will be beaded in 14/15 The accents are cabacon centered flowers with a free hand catapillaryish chain design as the stems in size 11s. Then of course I have to make hair ties, mine and my fiance's chokers, bracelet, earings, OH YEAH, and moccasins. AND if i am lucky, the fan. I have till march, and to be sappy, my fiance who has NEVER beaded wants to bead the eagle, so now it's a 'couple' project, I don't think I can leave him alone with the 14s :D |

I am hastely trying to get some sewing done before vacation. The kinda shorts I like are either sold out or not out this year at wally world so I am making some instead and I have to make a new skirt for my daughters' tuscarora clothes. Now that everything for her Osage clothes is done except her necklace, brooches and belt (no this is not a hint hint StraightAZ..LOL)... I can go back and concentrate on her iroquois clothes again. Fortunately she still fits everything BUT the skirt...that won't take me as long to do.

*gasp* You make that sound so dirty Spot! LOL!! Well i will be doing beading and plenty of it , because even though I am taking the rose off her old skirt to put on this one... I still never quite got to finish it the way I wanted so I am going to have to make some stems and leaves on this one as well... I think her pic is still in the gallery if you want to know what I am talking about

edge beading
I am edge beading and I am near a stopping point. For my next project I want to do something fun. People keep asking me about rosettes. I am going to make a few as surprises for those that have given me a few things in the past couple of years.

So little time...
I'm finally going to start dancing again this year (women's traditional, it's been three years). I''ve started on new hair-ties, barettes, new fringe, new breast plate, new shawl, and maybe a new choker. I'm also doing some beadwork for relatives, so it's going to take some time. Hopefully I'll be dancing in a few weeks.

I have to finish my granddaughters first mocs, then barretts and hair ties, teach my other granddaughter to bead on a loom, I'm having her make the hatband. Then my grand daughter wants a fancy shawl dress, I'll be lucky to cut out cloth dress. and she just keeps growing out of her mocs and they take me 3 weeks to make.
Does anyone know someone who makes the star quilts? Willing to buy. Mine just don't come out right.

Wyo_Rose makes quilts, if you look in the gallery she has some pics of hers. I'm not sure if she sells them or not, but you could pm her.
