Question Seeking Beading Teacher...

I am trying to locate someone in the New York area that would be willing (on a regular basis) to give beading lessons. I am interested in loom, rosette, applique, & peyote stitch. I am in New York City but I am willing and able to travel if necessary.

I'm in a couple of other forums that are just beading forums. I know that each one has people from your area. Check them out. One is www.beadandbutton.com.. The other one is www.ribored.proboards86.com.. The second one is called Strange People-Good Advice. also the B&B site has lots of links to bead stores and things like that. I'm sure that in NYC there is a bead store with classes. good luck in your search. Almost forgot-somewhere in the B&B site, there is something about someone offering online classes, too. You have to register for both sites-like here. There's some nice helpful people both places and lots of them are really talented, too.

Sekoh might i suggest taking a personal ad in your local paper. there are a lot of indian people in NYC many of whom i'm sure would answer your ad. also look in the phone book on native organizations local to you. and check out Pow-Wows talk to the vendors or dancers.. good luck.......Onen

Hi, and thank you for your response. The American Indian Community House here in NYC is currently relocating to another building but once they are settled I plan on posting something there.
