Aint it obvious i've never had one to look at before.....i'm trying to picture how the belt attaches to the underside....can you offer some tips on how to do that? If you have time that is... Wow.. so many questions... OK let's see.. where to start...
Q)What kind of thing or form do you attach it to....so you can use it as a belt buckle. i'm trying to picture how the belt attaches to the underside....can you offer some tips on how to do that? A) The bead store here sells belt buckle blanks , metal ones. They are the 3 inch ones, but I'm wanting to do a 6 inch, rodeo sized belt buckle next LOL! It's just a metal belt buckle hardware that the belt snaps over the loop in the back and then the it "hooks" into the belt holes... I don't know what they machanics of thing are called to describe any better.. Q)Very nice! I love the horse. 13s? A) Only the yellow sun, the rest is in 14 rounds for the pic, and 11's for the edge. Q)my question is how do you do the edge beading on that? do you do it as you are sewing on the backing? or is it something you add afterwards? A) I just did a rolled edge to connect the beadwork to the backing. I have to use a piece of leather on the back or I cannot keep the beadwork on a metal blank. Thanks everyone! There's some things about it I wish I had done differently, but it's hard to get the detail I want when the surface is so small even for size 14 beads.
