Hey Blackbear and Eagle Plumes..nice to meet you both.
I've been reading a lot on the forums...all the topics..but beadwork is what i'm really interested in. How long have you been beading Black Bear? Do you bead Eagle Plumes? I've been doing beadwork for 10 years ..i'm self-taught and i'm completely addicted to it. This is a awesome place....so glad i've found somewhere i can go to for help or inspiration. The beadwork here is amazing. So what part of Newfoundland is Paul Pike from? I live in Central Newfoundland. Anyway, take care and hope to chat with you both again soon!

Hi
Hi, PSXchick , Yes I bead have been since I was about 6yrs old and im 34 now, I started small, made my first set of hair ties as a young teen, and Ive beaded complete sets from then on, I was taught the basics by my dad, and from there on worked with my self, and some friends to get to where I am now, I even remember buying a set of brickstitch earings to just take them apart to see how they were put together, and remaking them , then a friend of mine got me a book on it so I diddnt buy anymore to tear apart. Hope to hear from you as well.

Hi psxchick! Welcome! I haven't posted much lately, but I've been beading about a year now and have been so inspired by the photos posted by the awesome beaders on this site. They have answered so many questions and been so generous with their knowledge . . .
I'm in the Boston, MA area so we're sort of neighbors - LOL! Anyway, you've found a great online community and I'll look forward to seeing your work when you can post a photo. |

That wall hanging is purty! I don't even know what branch fringe is, but it goes good with the eagle.
I do bead and have a couple things in my gallery: http://www.powwows.com/galleries/sho...00&ppuser=4752 |

I LOVE doing branch fring!!! I love the way it looks and lays! But yeah it can get rather tedious can't it?
This is branch fringe Wyo- And look under the bear in this one.. I just did a small portion in branch fringe but in three colors. You can see basically how it's done that way....

oh meant to also say, you can variate it so much too... instead of doing one or three beads at the end of a branch , I will sometimes add a leaf shaped bead or a top drilled drop bead, and sometimes even a flower bead. It's so versatile and attractive.
