Question background color

When beading large objects should the background color stay the same or will it look bad if i change the colors. will it look like all different pieces slapped together?

to me it all depends how the back ground is beaded - how you decide to incorporate the different colors ... if that makes any sense ... lol.

too drastic of a color change between the different colors used may make it look patched together ... while using a wave effect looks good with drastically different colors or even a straight over color change (for example using white and any color). you have to have a "good eye and hand" to be able to do "fading" otherwise it could look "bad." i don't think this made any sense ...

but to be on the safe side, stick to one background color ...

Made sense to me Chazzif and I have to agree with her. Unless you know how to "fade" bead colors together well, it's gonna look like you said, "slapped together". But then I have no idea what your design is, and I could be totally wrong. Personally a solid background is better simply because it makes the design pop out more.

color transition

The explanation makes perfect sense to me. I just wish I would have asked before I started, I've beaded my uprights, dance stick. I've beaded them but looking back they seem to look like I didn't transition the colors right & they looked slapped together.I'm doing the 2bead method, I tried the 3bead but the patterns didn't come out right. I have the beading video just can't seem to get it right.
