Bead Supplies in Los Angeles?

Hi,

I was looking for someone to suggest a store or somewhere to get beading supplies (seed Beads, Needles, Beading Thread) in Los Angeles or surrounding cities... I have heard of Tandy's in Fountain Valley, but i doubt they have what i am looking for...If someone could help that would be great.

Thanks

Matoska is in Orange. They are mail order but maybe you can work something out. Their contact info is on their website:

http://www.matoska.com/talktous.htm

OCB Trading is in Glendora. They have a store.

http://www.ocbtp.com/

I have mail ordered from both of the above and they were cool.

Here is a directory of stores that seem to serve mostly European/African beading tradtions:

Good luck

In Downtown LA there r a couple of stores that carry decent supplies, Bhoemian crystal on maple between 8th and 9th Sts. The other store is Berger on 8th just east of maple. Hope you find what you need.

I was downtown LA in the Fashion District and I saw a couple of stores with seed beads and such. You will have to take a trip there yourself to find out if they carry what you need. The district is a large area and they have a big section just for textile and other raw materials for shawls, blankets, and other items. Ladies, if you're looking for fashion purses (i.e. Louis Vuitton, Dooney & Burke, Gucci, BurBerry), there is an alley just full of them. Search for ["fashion district" and LA] on Google to find out more about the area.

I order from Fire Mountain Gems also; they are based out of Grantspass, Oregon. You can easily find them online; they send out really good catalogs also. Their prices are great when you buy in quantity.
