3 bead gourd stitch
Hi,
I read powwowbums thread about the 3 bead gourd stitch designs which is really very good. But now I read something that kind of confused cause Im new to beading thingys, it said that to make rectangular shapes you have to go back and forth, and to design oval or round shapes you have to go in circles. That makes sense but how is that done? Is that something new? Was that left out in the thread cause its for advanced beaders or can the stitch described there be used for such patterns too (like the ones presented in that thread)? Could anyone explain? |

I think I understand...
For flat work, you go back and forth across an item, until the entire field is beaded... For stuff like rosettes, you work round-n-round until it's big enough... For fan-handles and the like, you go round-n-round and "up" until the piece is covered... Not explaining very well, but I think that's what you meant? hth, Tom |
