Is anyone protective over their beads? LOL Like you don't want anyone touching them that don't bead cuz the accidently spill them. THen your on the floor picking each and everyone of them up? LOL OR they end up loses a tube. Geez. my fiance threw my beadbox in the closest (without me there lol) Now there is some missing. Geez this makes me mad. Or when your beading something and people come in and decide to pick your project up and your like excuse me. LOL

yeah i hate that too.. I've had strangers actually take a piece I'm working on out of my hand to turn it over and see the other side... I promptly take it back out of their hand and say... excuse me I'm working on that

argh! I hate that, too. When i'm working on something, I have strangers come up and try to touch the beadwork. I don't want to be rude, but I just snatch it back. Some people just don't have any respect for other people's property.

I carry a tote bag with all my beadwork/supplies with me everywhere. I noted to my family that when I should pass, that I be buried with my beads. That's just me though. However, I could change my mind if anyone of my family decides to start beading.

Any of you just as passionate about your beadwork or beads?

Oh woh to he who toucheth my beads! Besides if they would ask I love showing off my beading beads AND my bead collection!! I plan on passing them on to my daughter cause like it or not she WILL learn to bead .. and if she gives it up later in her teens or early twenties..she'll appreciate it later on when she needes something beaded or needs a little cash and knows how to bead. But she's already showing quite a bit of natural talent for drawing so hopefully she'll be all about beading like her ma :D !

I find myself making time for them and I tell you, this has never happened before in my life! But my daughter got a game cube for christmas and I have taken over Pikmin (http://www.nintendo.com/gamemini?gameid=m-Game-0000-588) and I had a major obsession with it. But now that i've played it twice and actually won without getting all thirty parts.. I took a break till Friday.. and I was obsessing once again but to get all thirty pieces.. tomorrow I take the final piece and master the game..MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Believe me this says something because I've never been into video games that much besides tetris and tetris worlds and even those did'nt have me dreaming and strategizing in my sleep.
WOW this is just amazing..Santa gave me a gamecube for Christmas too and I've been learning to snow board. It's just not as cold. But I've taken a break have to finish beading my butterflies for an outfit.
I like the beading excercise...keeps me from putting down the beading and go snowboarding.

LOL got that one too... tetris worlds..I'm telling ya....

Anyhow, I thought of another exercise to break you out of the beading blahs... At the next powwow.. got to visit allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the vendors and dig through the beads for sale and stare intently at all the beadwork they have for sale, then turn it over and look at the price , then look in your wallet/pocketbook. That'll probably get you back to beading quick enough.

Blackbear: Hehehe. That helped me get rolling a bit. While we were at a pow-wow recently, my husband felt sorry for me so he bought me a set of beaded barettes. I knew I could very well do it on my own, but the beading bug hadn't kicked in. Then I checked out all the vendors who had some pretty keen beadwork and realized I couldn't afford them. Now, I'm beading. YEA! i'M cured!! AYE!

That works for me also, just looking at all the beadwork out there and no money, just make me start thinking of other projects or finishing one.

that's some motivation, huh?!

Well, just trying to finish my niece's crown now. Hopefully, I'll get it in time for her birthday which is on the 29th. That's really pushing it with work and school, but I think I have the motivation now. Wish me luck!

Oh, almost had a catastrophe at work the other day. I was beading when a customer came up to look at what I was doing. She immediately held out her hand to reach for it, but instead her hand almost knocked over my beading tray. Oh man, I'm just glad I had a better grip on it or else it would have tumbled over, but she hit it enough that some beads fell out. I was a bit pissed, so I said that in the future, ask before she touches anyone's beadwork. She was a bit embarrassed after that. She apologized and left. I didn't even feel bad.

You know.. I wonder what it is that makes people act that way without thinking first. To me it's kinda like cooking, you don't just take a spoon out of a cooks hand when they are stirring now do you? Or pick up the cake while they are frosting it... LOL
